We powered through our fantasy baseball draft tonight. I’m pretty pleased with my team, though I wasn’t as prepared as I should have been. I’d like to have one more closer and a little more speed, but I should do well in the percentage categories and my starting pitchering rotation is pretty much untouchable. I need Corey Patterson to come back strong and stay healthy.
I put myself in a little bit of a mess right off the bat. After I took Frank Thomas, I wanted to take Ryan Klesko, but I would have had to put Klesko in my Util spot which would leave no room for me to draft Edgar later. I probably should have taken a better closer initially and waited on the sluggers, though I’m thrilled to have Thomas back.
This is the third year in a row I’ve drafted Sean Burroughs, this year as
Mr. Irrelevant

I have fond memories of Sean Burroughs in the Little League World Series. One of my roommates played against him in the US Finals, he was the only one to make contact against him. He was a stud then, and I think given a little more time he will be a stud in the major leagues as well. He certainly does have a gun for an arm. Keep in mind he is only 22 as well.
