30 Boxes Natural Language Scheduling

Posted in: Software

I probably like the Google Calendar interface (love the next 7 days view) a little better than the 30 Boxes interface, but I’ve got to give credit where credit is due.

I typed this into the 30 boxes “one box add” box:

Recycling yesterday repeat every other week

And it got it right (created an all day event “Recycling” on Tuesday, repeating every 2 weeks)! Google Calendar… not so much.

Great work 30 Boxes, that’s pretty darn impressive.

Thanks Alex. Try the email to calendar functionality!

When you say next 7 days are you meaning a custom view (it defaults to next 4 days), or do you like the week view? Personally, I like the agenda. We plan to add another view soon once there is some consensus.

We are finishing up a nice little taggable “to do” feature. Then we need to get some wordpress integration going! If you are feeling creative, we invite you to design a new theme for 30b (our app supports “remote skinning” which is pretty cool)

Yes, I was referring to the next N days custom view. I don’t care much for agenda, I lose the visual context for “days”.
